Merchant’s Manor is a luxury, boutique spa hotel in Falmouth, Cornwall.
THE PROJECT
When Merchants Manor launched their luxury apartments, they were after some special words to convey the experience of staying in the beautiful, character-filled spaces they had created.
I created copy that used a specific wordbook to reflect the different characters of the appartments – ‘Landlubber’ and ‘Lookout’.
Lookout’s language reflected the nautical nature of the decor, the ocean and the panoramic sea views. Landlubber’s vocabulary called on the stories Edwardian plant hunters who journeyed far over the horizon to bring back exotic treasures.
Both sets of copy showcased the apartment design as well as the experiences for your sense of being in them – showcasing the benefits and drawing attention to the key features.
