Hall for Cornwall is Cornwall’s main indoor performance venue, located in Truro’s historic City Hall. As a social enterprise and charity, they bring great shows to Cornwall and make great work. And they do it all independently.
THE PROJECT
As part of Hall for Cornwall’s 2021 refurbishment and reopening, the heritage team are finding new ways to share the stories that have shaped the building over the last 175 years.
My brief was to research and copywrite engaging explanatory text for 10 embedded ‘Storypoints’ spread throughout the ground floor of the building. Linked to from a QR at the site of each roundel, the text is held located on Hall for Cornwall’s heritage microsite. The content provides an opportunity for visitors to engage, learn and use the Storypoints as a jumping off point for engaging with the building’s heritage and interpretation more broadly.
