THE CLIENT
Apollo 50 was a creative and educational event held at Goonhilly Satellite Earth Station in Cornwall to mark the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing. The site originally received the images from the 1969 moon landing, beaming them to television screens across the UK and the world.
This unique one-day Festival, culminating in a concert featuring Public Service Broadcasting and Orbital, celebrated this pinnacle moment in human achievement through workshops, film screenings, discussions and music.
THE PROJECT
My brief was to recreate a calendar of engaging social posts in the four months leading up to the event.
The content needed to reflect both the moon landing/ space themes of the event and highlight the educational, music and creative content of the programme, helping potential ticket buyers to understand and connect with the event.
I programmed created and curated content to market the event and its mission — “To entertain with inspiration, innovation and wonder.”
