26 Armistice was a project between 26 Writers and IWM Imperial War Museums, commemorating the lives of 100 individuals who lived in WW1 in the 100 days before the Armistice Day centenary.
THE PROJECT
A new poetic form was created (the centena) and used by 100 writers, each documenting the life of someone who lived
The project was turned into a website (with average 1,000 views per week), live exhibitions and a book (which sold over 650 copies, with £2k profits donated to War Child).
The project won an award for Writing for Design in the 2019 Drum Awards and a centena was read in parliament.
