Porthleven Food Festival takes place annually in April. It regularly attracts up to 25,000 visitors over the Festival weekend. porthlevenfoodfestival.com
From big name chefs like Antony Worrall-Thompson and Rick Stein to circus skills and more in the kids field the Festival has a packed programme of events across an evening and two full days.
The Food Festival needed to reign in the huge amount of information coming from a host of organisers and turn it into a colourful and informative brochure to distribute to around 10,000 people.
For 2015 and 2016 I project managed and wrote the Festival programme, featuring information on the Chef’s Theatre, Music Stages, Food providers, Kids area, Literary Festival and more.
Sound editorial judgement was employed to determine what to include, alongside writing and research skills to add interest, intrigue and additional interviews and features.
My greatest compliment was when one of the committee called me after reading the programme proof the first year and said they had gone from being been utterly jaded to excited and engaged after reading my words. Just lovely.
