Porthleven Food Festival takes place annually in April. It now attracts up to 40,000 visitors over the Festival weekend.
From big name chefs like Antony Worrall-Thompson and Rick Stein to circus skills and more in the family field, the Festival has a packed programme of events across three days.
The Food Festival needs to marshall a huge amount of content coming from a host of organisers, reinventing and releasing this to engage visitors and sell tickets. I’ve created and implemented their marketing strategy, bedded in their excellent content, that delivers the results they need.
I am responsible for all marketing activity from website and social updates and adverts to offline advertising, programme production and communication.
The Festival has grown visitor numbers since 2017 when I took on the Marketing role by more than 10,000. We’ve had quality local and national coverage online and in print and we’re awarded Silver in the Festival/ event of the Year category in the 2018/19 Cornwall Tourism Awards.
