Porthleven Food Festival takes place annually in April. It now attracts up to 40,000 visitors over the Festival weekend.
From big name chefs like Antony Worrall-Thompson and Rick Stein to circus skills and more in the kids field the Festival has a packed programme of events across three days.
The Food Festival needed to reign in a huge amount of content coming from a host of organisers and reinvent and release this to engage visitors and sell tickets. I’ve helped them to create and carry out a marketing strategy, bedded in their excellent content, that delivers the results they need.
I am responsible for all marketing activity from website and social updates and adverts to offline advertising, programme production and communication.
The Festival has grown visitor numbers since 2017 when I took on the Marketing role by more than 10,000. We’ve had quality local and national coverage online and in print and we’re awarded Silver in the Festival/ event of the Year category in the 2018/19 Cornwall Tourism Awards.
